1 dead, I-95 northbound lanes shut down after fiery crash in Miami


One person has died and the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 have been shut down due to a crash in Miami.

Rescue crews responded to the scene near the 62nd Street exit, early Monday morning.

7SkyForce hovered over the scene where a car rear ended a box truck. The box truck then caught on fire.

Officials said one person died as a result of the crash.

Florida Highway Patrol is now investigating the cause of the crash.

Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes until the scene has cleared as traffic has come to a complete stop.

The southbound lanes remain open.
