(WEEK) — Just getting books out and back proved to be a challenge during Covid-19.
But now, the tables and chairs are back, newspapers too.
And the Fondulac Library District is ready to welcome visitors again.
As of Tuesday, public summer reading events have returned.
The director says the pandemic forced them to shut the doors at times, even halting the check out of books between mid-March and May, 2020.
Managers had to rethink every aspect of the operation.
“While we’re not back to the summer reading of 2019 and how it looked. But we’re definitely on the right path. There will be some story time at Farm Park in July as well. And we’ll introduce some outdoor movies here on the lawn as well,” said Genna Buhr, Fondulac Library Director.
So hours for the Fondulac Library at 400 Richland Street are:
- 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
- 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday.
- And 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday.
They’re closed on Sunday over the summer, Buhr said.
